ASHTABULA — Maria Dolores Cedeno-Perez, age 83, of Ashtabula, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at her home.
Maria was born July 8, 1929, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Julio and Filomena (Perez) Cedeno and had been a resident of Ashtabula since 2006. She was married to Alejandro Collazo who preceded her in death in 2004.
Survivors include her children, Angel (Samantha Novak) Colon, Fray (Tifanie) Collazo, Wilfredo Collazo, Eda Collazo and Jose Collazo; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Zoraida Torres. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her husband, Alejandro, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roberto Gonzales; daughter, Maria Cedeno-Rios; granddaughter, Maggee Hunt-Torres; great-grandson, Alex Yadiel; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Calling Hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 5th, at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Funeral services will be held in Puerto Rico at a future date.
