CLEVELAND — Nancy L. (Vetrano) Nalepa, age 56, of Concord Township, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on Dec. 30, 1955, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the beloved wife of Larry Nalepa for 19 years and the loving mother of Jared and Brett.
Nancy retired in 2010 from the Mentor School District after 32 years of teaching at Reynolds and Hopkins Elementary Schools.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and spending time with her family, relatives, friends, and the family dog “Yogi”.
Survivors also include her brother, Joe Vetrano of Oxnard, Calif.; sister, Mary (Jim) Pelich of Madison, Ohio; and sister, Kathleen (Dale) Stredney of Naperville, Ill.. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Mary (Puchan) Vetrano of Ashtabula.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18th, at the BRUNNER SANDEN DEITRICK FUNERAL HOME, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 19th, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 9925 Johnny-Cake Ridge Road, Concord Township. Interment will be at the Mentor Cemetery.
