HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — Christopher Wren English, age 60, of Hendersonville, N.C., died Monday, March 3, 2014, at The Elizabeth House.
Creative, intelligent and hard working, he was a good provider and devoted family man. Mr. English was retired from Meritor with 38 years of service.
He excelled at everything he did and had many hobbies, but most of all, he enjoyed photography, gardening, the outdoors, working on his house, spending time with family, and taking care of his granddaughter.
Mr. English is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Tomsic English; daughters, Melanie English of Portland, Ore., and Sarah Bessinger and husband, Jordan, of Hendersonville; granddaughter, Hailey Bessinger; sisters, Margaret Nappi and Barbara Adley and husband, Frank, all of Ohio; brother, Daniel English and wife, Jane, of Ohio; sister, Susan English of Dallas, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and his Great Dane, “Maggie”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Therese English of Ohio.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
