HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Phyllis (Lockridge) Riffle, age 70, of Harpersfield Township, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014.
Born Sept. 26, 1943, in Durbin, W.Va., she was the daughter of Edna (Ratliffe) and Reece Lockridge. She married Lonnie Riffle Jr. in Painesville, Ohio, on Nov. 22, 1961.
Phyllis was a nurses aide at NEO Hospital and also worked as a cafeteria aide for Madison Schools.
She was a past member of American Legion Post 112. Phyllis had a wonderful sense of humor and always loved being around her family, especially during the holidays.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Riffle Jr. of Harpersfield; son, Lonnie (Jean) Riffle III of Harpersfield; daughters, Lona (Herman) York III of Harpersfield, Lora Pfeiler of Madison and Pamela (James Clark) Jenkins of Madison; grandchildren, Scott, Jessica, Tyler, Sara, Rachel and Herman IV; one great-grandson and several step-grandchildren; sister, Marsha Lockridge of Painesville; brother, Gary Setler of Fairport; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Kathryn Lockridge; sister, Patricia Hall; and brother, Donald Lockridge.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 8th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio, with a Funeral Service following at 4 p.m.
