ROCK CREEK — Thomas L. Bailey, age 69, of Knowlton Road, Rock Creek, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, Feb. 7, 2013, enroute to UH-Geneva Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 24, 1943, in Ashtabula, the son of Thomas B. and Leona (Williams) Bailey and had resided in Ashtabula County all of his life. Tom was a 1963 graduate of Ashtabula High School.
He owned and operated the Sohio Station in Saybrook Township for many years and also did general contracting work. He enjoyed animals.
He is survived by seven children, Todd Bailey of Ashtabula, Jason R. (Lisa) Sack of Jefferson, Guy R. Sack of St. Augustine, Fla., Erica A. Brininger of Orwell, Natalie R. (Bob) Janouskovec of Rock Creek, Jared J. (Janel) Sack of Jefferson and Courtney R. (John) Bean of Harpersfield Township; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Darla (Richard) DiDonato of Pierpont; a brother, Gerald (Debbie) Bailey of Ashtabula; four nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and nephews; and 10 cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Chad Keenan Bailey.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. No services will be held.
