STEUBENVILLE — Matthew P. Magary, age 71, of Steubenville, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Villa Vista Nursing Home.
Matthew was born in Mingo Jct., Ohio. He was a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Air Force
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mary Maryavi Magary; and an older brother, Dr. Victor Magary.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Paula Barrett Magary; his sister, Mary Leah (Albert) Kovarik of St. Louis, Mo.; his two brothers, Rev. Thomas Magary and Gary Magary; his sister-in-law, Joyce Magary; seven nephews; four nieces; and five step-children.
Matthew was a retired worker of Weirton Steel Corp, and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 1st, at MOSTI FUNERAL HOME, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Holy Rosary Church, followed by entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Rosary Church, Triumph of the Cross, Steubenville and St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Cortland, Ohio.
