GENEVA — Joyce L. (McGranahan) Prosser, age 74, loving wife of 55 years to the late Richard Prosser, devoted mother of Sarah (Russell) Frain of Austinburg Township and Richard (Regina) Prosser Jr. of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her residence in Geneva.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Jack and Julia (Gutia) McGranahan. She was a long time business owner in Jefferson and Geneva, taking a personal interest in all of her customers and worked hand-in-hand with her husband for over 40 years.
She was a loving mother that supported the interests and goals of her children, taking pride in their accomplishments. In her younger years, she was a horse enthusiast and competed in horse shows. She loved to cook new recipes and enjoyed gardening and canning.
Besides her children Sarah and Richard, she is survived by six grandchildren, Matthew Massena Jr., Russell (Ericka) Frain Jr., Rebecca Seibert, Garrett Frain, Erica Idov and Sarah Rosner; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Frain, Emelia Seibert, Darien Shultz, Alex Idov and Natalie Frain; and a niece, Rita Trent.
Besides her parents and loving husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by an infant son, David; and a sister, Rita Trent.
No services or calling hours will be held.
