ASHTABULA — Zachery Taylor Murphy, age 21, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born April 17, 1992, in Painesville, Ohio, and had lived most of his life in Ashtabula County.
Zachery loved spending time with his 2 year-old son, Bentley Taylor Murphy, and also with his other family members and friends. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and loved music and was an excellent rap singer.
He survived by his son, Bentley Taylor Murphy; girlfriend, Barbara Smith; mother, Vicki Murphy; step-father, Donald Rood; sister, Megan Rood; half-brother, Robbie Rood; and half-sister, Krystal; maternal grandfather, Charles Murphy; paternal grandmother, Barbara Rood; and maternal great-grandparents, Virgil and Beulah Murphy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Zachery was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Marie and William Holbert; maternal grandmother, Lola Murphy; and maternal grandfather, Clark Rood.
Graveside Services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18th, at Montville Cemetery, Madison Road (Route 528) just north of Route 6 in Montville Township, with the Rev. Thomas Purchase officiating.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., TODAY, May 17th, at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio.
