ASHTABULA — Ronald Otto Applegate II, age 43, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Carington Park.
He was born May 20, 1969, in Novato, Calif., the son of Ronald Otto Sr. and Judy (Silveria) Applegate and had been an Ashtabula resident since 2011, moving here from Virginia.
He loved his children, animals, traveling and talking on the phone. He enjoyed doing auto body work and mechanics; he could fix or repair any type of vehicle. Over the last 20 years Ron had regained a strong devotion to God and church. He enjoyed the love of his Lord and those who shared that joy of hope and promise as he did.
Ron or “Mr. Applegate” as he referred to himself will be remembered for his zest for life, his ability to travel all over the United States, his love of family and friends and his faith in the lord.
His survivors include his wife, Patricia; five children, Felicia, Chad, Elizabeth, Jesse James and Matthew; five grandchildren, Zane, Lily, Destiny, Hailey and Ethan and one more grandchild on the way; his mother, Judy Mitchonie of Ashtabula; two sisters, Maria (Jeff) Mead of Ashtabula and Sherri Mitchonie of California; and one brother, Tony (Bobbie Sue) Applegate of California; loving nieces and nephews, Tony II, Frank, Andrew, Joe, Alicia, Crystal, Amanda, Angel, Jamie, Jennifer and Julie.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Pasquale Mitchonie.
It was Ron’s wish that no services or calling hours be observed.
