GENEVA — Josephine "Jo" M. Clutter, age 100, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at Geneva Village Retirement Community.
Born in Struthers, Ohio, on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Stephan J. and Katherina M. (Zibura) Begala.
Josephine worked as a LPN Nurse for 32 Years at Con-Lea Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Park Street Christian Church, Pinochle Club, Canasta Club, and Mixed Leagues and Re-cycled Teenagers at Sonny Lanes.
She was active in church functions and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and embroidering.
Survivors include her daughters, Georgiana Austin of Harpersfield and Edwina Kifer of Geneva; her son, John H. (Shirley) Clutter of Jasper, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine was the last of 12 children, she was the 9th child; and great-grandchildren, Denise and Diane Kifer.
Calling Hours will be 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 21st, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
A Calling Hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22nd, followed by the 11 a.m., Funeral Service at Park Street Christian Church, 97 Park St., Geneva, with the Rev. John Munday officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
