GENEVA — Jack O. Vincent, age 83, of Geneva, Ohio, went home to be with His Lord and Savior, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at home with his loving wife and cousin Sherry Gleason by his side.
He was born July 10, 1930, in Madison, Ohio, to Bert H. and Catherine E. (Harris) Vincent. Jack was Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Janice K. Morey on May 30, 1981 in Geneva.
Jack was a Truck Driver/Mover for Geneva Transfer Co. and was a member of Geneva VFW Post #6846, Fraternal Order of Eagles #2243 and Ohio Interstate Patrol.
He enjoyed being with family, golfing, yard work, gardening, attending antique engine shows, bowling and fishing. He was an all around handyman, "Jack of all trades", a fan of Cleveland Browns, Ohio State and John Deere tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Linda (Rob) Painter of Conneaut, Janet (Art) Lane of Ashtabula, Scott and Kevin Vincent, both of Geneva, and Randy Vincent of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Lisa Painter, Erica Fenton and Tony, Brian and Christopher Pack; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dane (Carol) Vincent of Unionville.
He was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Gracie and Joshua Fenton; brothers, Harris "Bud", Vernon and Raymond; sisters, Norma Knox, Marian Valistky and Betty Jackson; and his parents.
Calling Hours will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, Dec. 28th, at Geneva First United Methodist Church, 89 S. Broadway, Geneva. Military Honors by the Geneva VFW Post #6846 at Noon, with a Celebration of Life Service directly afterwards. The Rev. Bruce Hitchcock will officiate.
