NEW MEXICO — Leverett “Bill” William Hodgins, age 66, peacefully passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at his New Mexico home, with his wife, Mary Lou, at his side. Also at his side were his son, William Hodgins II of Arizona; his daughters, Tracy and Tammy from California and Washington; and his step-children, Tammy, Jackie and Jo Stotler, of Arizona and Washington.
Born May 15, 1946, to loving parents, William Leverett “Lev” and June Hodgins of Conneaut, Ohio. Bill is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ken and Judi (Hodgins) Saczalski of Laguna Beach, Calif. Bill is also survived by his niece, Lauri Saczalski Lane of Mesa, Ariz.; his nephew, Todd Saczalski of Sedona, Ariz.; and several grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Co., and established Hodgins Electrical Co. He was successful in developing large projects in Arizona and Nevada. He also established a successful pizza bistro in Lake Havasu, Ariz.
Bill was a craftsman as well, and built his own homes in Conneaut, Ohio, New Mexico, and Lake Havasu, Ariz. In addition, he developed residential lots in Ohio.
Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter. He always tried to help others and will be remembered as a kind and loving person. He was “everyone’s favorite Uncle Bill”.
