GENEVA — Robert F. "Rob" Ray, age 32, of Geneva, died Monday, June 24, 2013, after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born Feb. 26, 1981, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Robert (Joyce) G. Ray (Chapel Auto Service Inc.) and RoseAnn Robison.
He was a Tire Salesman for Cleveland Tire & Wheel in Geneva. He liked working on cars, painting, loved building Lego sets, Model Trains, Model Cars and painting them, fixing stereo equipment, camping, Monte Carlo Cars, loved his cat “Tiger” and going to the zoo.
He is survived by his children, Alexis and Brittany; children's mother, Britteny Baker-Savchuck; mother, RoseAnn Robison; and father, Robert (Joyce) Ray, both of Geneva; brothers, David L. Robison of Madison, Greggory Robison of Hamden Township and Joshua Ray of Michigan; sisters, Diana Bartone and Michelle Robison, both of Geneva and Candice Van Herle of California; paternal grandmother, Dorothy G. Ray of Madison.
He was preceded by in death by his sisters, Kimberly Ann Robison and Tammy Lynn Ray; maternal grandparents, Frank and Clara Cappotto; and paternal grandfather, Robert E. Ray.
Calling Hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 28th, followed by a Funeral Service, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with Nancy Rader, of Friends Temple Church, officiating.
