JEFFERSON — Geraldine M. Jones, age 77, Garfield Lane, Jefferson, died Wednesday morning, June 19, 2013, at Jefferson Healthcare Center where she had been a patient the past six months.
She was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Bloomington, Md., the daughter of Elzy and Sara (Reed) Duckworth. She was married to Everett J. Jones on April 7, 1976, in Cumberland, Md.
Mrs. Jones worked for many years at Tomkco in Painesville before taking disability retirement. She had been a resident of Jefferson the past six years coming from Euclid. Mrs. Jones was a member of Bloomington Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and the Moose Lodge and also enjoyed camping and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Everett; three step-children, Brenda Hursmen of Wooster, Wanda Jones of Akron and Kenneth Jones of Akron; five step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Pamela Miller.
Graveside Services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, July 24th, at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, with the Rev. Philip Kachersky, of Jefferson First Baptist Church, officiating.
Calling Hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
