GENEVA — Lother D. Alley, age 79, of Rome, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Geneva Shores in Geneva.

He was born Jan. 5, 1934, in Ransom, Ky., to Nella (May) and Burnas Otwell Alley. Lother graduated from high school in 1951 in Williamson, W.Va. He married Doris Moles in Eastpoint, Ky. on August 2, 1952.

Retiring from Caterpillar/Towmotor in Mentor, he had worked as a Foreman and with Quality Control. He was also a member of the South Madison Church of Christ and Lother’s hobbies included wood working, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Alley of Hartsgrove: daughter, Teresa (Don) Reid of Hartsgrove; brother, Sherrill T. (Sondra) Alley of Georgetown, Texas; sisters, Ardith Elam of Parma, Judith Graham of Berea and Deanna (Bert) Geiger of Parma Heights; mother, Nella (John) Coljohn of Parma; step-mother, Betty L. Alley of Columbia Station; grandchildren, Heather (Brett) Dalton, Timothy (Tina) Reid and Ryan and Elise Alley; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Alley of Edmond, Okla.; step-grandson, Thomas Reid; step-granddaughter, Sheryl (Mark) King; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Reid and Isabella Dalton; and step-great-granddaughters, McKenzie Dalton and Hannah and Emily King.

He was preceded in death by his father, Burnas; and a son, Anthony Debrell Alley.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, June 16th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 17th, at the Funeral Home. Final Resting Place will be at Hartsgrove Cemetery in Hartsgrove Township.
