CLEVELAND — Lois Ann (Robbins) Arcaro, age 60, loving wife of Dennis Frederick Arcaro became an Angel and received her wings on Monday, March 3, 2014. She died after a courageous three and half year battle with cancer.
Lois worked as a clerk for the school system in Newport, R.I., where she met and married Dennis. Then after moving to Ohio, she worked at the Department of Job and Family Services in Ashtabula. Lois met the most wonderful people who became her best friends and she loved them as family. Lois retired from the job she loved in 2012 due to the illness that took her life.
Lois and Dennis enjoyed walking with her dog, “Buddy” and working in her gardens in the backyard. She enjoyed growing plants and flowers, and traveling with Dennis throughout the country.
A multitude of loving friends and family and her dog, “Buddy” will be remembering Lois for her gentle ways, strength and dignity during her journey.
She leaves behind her husband of thirty-seven years, Dennis F. Arcaro; her brothers, Robert C. Robbins of Florida and David J. Robbins of Rhode Island.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Robbins Sr., and her mother, Barbara L. Medeiros.
“I know she will be with me in my heart and mind. She will shield me, and protect me from the sun when it is hot; the rain when it pours, and the wind when it blows too hard. Lois will always be my sweetheart and true and only love”.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 8th, at DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio. Kathleen Shaffer, CFSP will officiate.
A Calling Hour will be observed from 5 until 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 8th, at the Funeral Home.
