HOUSTON, Texas — Louise Kay (Anderson) Cavin, age 79, of Houston, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, after a long struggle with coronary artery disease.
Born May 21, 1934, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Elmer and Sophia (Olson) Anderson and graduated from Harbor High School in 1952.
Louise was employed as a secretary by Peoples Savings and Loan Co. from 1957-1971. She then moved to Houston and was employed as branch manager and then Assistant Vice President at University Savings. In 1981 she accepted a position of Assistant Secretary and Vice President at Guaranty Federal.
Louise had a natural artistic and musical talent which she enjoyed and shared with others her entire life. She was a member of Capernaum (Faith) Lutheran Church in Ashtabula and Faith Lutheran Church in Houston.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristine (Stone) Rendon Mettrick and son-in-law, Clive Mettrick, with whom she made her home; son, Karl Cavin and fiancée, Theresa Parra, and her children, Austin and Hannah; and grandchildren, Katherine Rendon and John Rendon and his two children, Gabriella and Isabella Rendon, all of Houston. She is also survived by her twin sister, Lois and husband, David Clark, of Ashtabula.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Houston on Feb. 6th. A private interment will be held at a later date at her family grave site in Ashtabula.
