PIERPONT — Ae Hwa “Ann” Hodge, age 68, of St. Rt. 7, Pierpont, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1945, in Andong, South Korea. On Nov. 23, 1968, she married Gary L. Hodge at the U.S. Embassy in South Korea. They moved to the United States in 1969 and resided in West Virginia until 1972 when they moved to Ashtabula County.
In 1974, her most important decision was made to be baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She worked for Miller Memorial in Andover as a nursing assistant for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and having a good meal with friends and family. However, her grandchildren and family meant the world to her.
She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Hodge of Pierpont; children, William L. (Cheryl) Hodge of Pierpont, David E. (Rhonda) Hodge of Boardman, Doris A. Hodge of Marysville, Wash. and Rebekah M. (James) Hodge-Dubin of Conneaut; grandchildren, Hayley (Tom), Paige (James), Derek, Shalamar and Ashley; great-grandchildren, James, Lillian, Khloe and Lylah.
A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, July 5th, at the Kingdom Hall, 1032 St. Rt. 46, Jefferson, with Br. Dennis Cole officiating.
