ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — Maynard A. Clement, age 89, died June 10, 2013, in Florida.
Born Nov. 14, 1923, in Geneva, Ohio, he was a son of Ruth and Burt Clement.
A Veteran, Maynard served proudly in World War II with the 87th Infantry Division 312th Combat Engineers Battalion. He worked for the East Ohio Gas Co. and retired after 28 years of service.
He was a member of the 87th Division Associations, the American Legion Post #118 in Zephyrhills, Fla., and The Battle of the Bulge Unit 32 in Lakeland, Fla.
Maynard enjoyed golf, trains, laughing at old movies and with his friends.
My dad enjoyed life and now he is with our Lord.
Survivors include his daughter, Dora (Lynn) Joiner; second wife, Flo; two grandchildren, Daniel and Keith Beseda, both of Geneva; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Leona; and two brothers.
Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013, with the Rev. Shirley Deemer officiating at the Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
