KINGSVILLE — Betty Jean Rhodes, age 92, of Ashtabula, Ohio, and formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Henry and Amelia (Holtz) Burch.
She had worked for TWA Airlines in Dayton and also Meirs Stores in Dayton.
She loved playing the Piano and played for Gageville United Methodist Church when she was in High School. She loved music and dancing.
Surviving her is her daughter, Susan (John) Luce of Ashtabula; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Luce, John Koski and Timothy Koski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Hamilton in 1956; her son, John Hamilton in 1963; and her six brothers and sisters, Reed H. Burch, Gayle E. Burch, Harold Burch, Melvin Burch, Frances DeMay and Goldie Burch in infancy.
Graveside Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 17th, at the Gageville Cemetery, Plymouth-Gageville Road in Sheffield Township, with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant, officiating.
