HAMBDEN TOWNSHIP — Roberta “Bobbie” J. Halleen (née: Close), age 75, of Hambden Township, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Heather Hill in Munson Township.
Born Sept. 24, 1938, in Austinburg, Ohio, to Gordon and Betty (nee: Shore) Close, she had been a lifelong area resident.
Bobbie attended cosmetology school and was a beautician. She volunteered with 4-H; was a Den Mother with Cub Scouts and enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, Bingo and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Keith of Hambden Township; daughter, Lori Halleen of Hambden Township; sons, Scott (Kwangmi) of Solon, Paul of Hambden and Ron (Rebecca) of Elon, N.C.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Betty Close of Ashtabula; brother, David (Simone) Close of Ashtabula; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Johnny Boy.
Funeral Service will be 11a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28th, at BURR FUNERAL HOME, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon, Ohio. Burial will follow at Hambden Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Funeral Home.
