Dylan T. Christian

KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP —  Dylan T. Christian, age 12, of Kingsville Township, Ohio, passed away at home on Thursday, April 26, 2012.

He was born May 11, 1999, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the son of Brian A. Christian and the late Tarrah (Allums) Christian.

Dylan was a sixth grade student at Braden Junior High School. He was always an A-B student and knew the importance of education. He received many awards, i.e. the “Presidential Award”, and was good at anything he tried.

He enjoyed cooking and aspired to be a chef. He would bake cupcakes for the nurses when he was going to the hospital.

He loved to watch WWE wrestling and was able to meet his hero, John Cena. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved sports in general. He was always supporting Braden, Conneaut and Edgewood sports, rooting them on even though he could not play. He also loved swimming and earned the nickname “Tuna” because he would be in the water so much. He even enjoyed fishing in Conneaut Creek.

He enjoyed writing short stories, coloring and drawing and also playing video games. Dylan was a happy-go-lucky young boy who was always worried about everyone else. He was generous, always saving his money to be able to buy Christmas gifts for everyone in the family.

He touched so many people in his short life, and was especially appreciative of spending quality time with his family and church.

Dylan is survived by his father, Brian of Conneaut; his grandparents, Sherry (whom he knew as his Mommy) and Roy Allums (whom he called Papa) of Conneaut; great-grandmother, Irene Lowe; great-grandparents, Robert and Carol Manfredonia of Conneaut; two uncles, Justin Allums of Ashtabula and Daniel Christian of Cleveland; cousins, Alexander, Julia and Lillian Allums and Brandy Manfredonia; great-aunt, Rose Bishop; great-uncle and aunt, Bob and Diane Manfredonia of Conneaut; and great-great-aunt, Katherine Lannon who would always send Dylan $6 on a regular basis to have chix nuggets weekly. Also surviving is Dylan’s best friend, A.J. Urch of Kingsville, Ohio.

His mother preceded him in death when he was very young.

Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 1st, at Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene, 4841 St. Rt. 84, Monroe Township, with Pastor Les Bolen officiating.

Calling Hours will be at the Church on Monday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m., and also on Tuesday, from 12 Noon until the time of Service.

Contributions may be made to the church in Dylan’s name. Envelopes will be available at the church or at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio who has charge of arrangements.
