ASHTABULA — John E. Bednarski, age 54, of Ashtabula, died Monday morning, May 20, 2013, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Nov. 9, 1958, in Cleveland, he was the son of John P. and Joan V. (Rehor) Bednarski.
John was a very proud member of Local 310 Laborers Union of Cleveland, retiring with 25 years service and was a 35 year member. He currently was J. Skid of 98.3 the Bull radio personality, doing the fishing reports for the area.
His hobbies included hunting and fishing, raising money for charity. Mr. Bednarski also enjoyed watching the sporting events of his children and being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Christopher (Jessica DiGiacomo) Bednarski of Euclid and Ian (Louise Molyneux) Bednarski of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Ian and Ariya Bednarski of Ashtabula; brothers, Thomas Bednarski of Brunswick and Joseph Bednarski of Brecksville; and sisters, Kathleen Zitzmann of Seven Hills, Jeanette Cimperman of Middleburgh Heights and Regina Mireles of Parma, Ohio
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
