CONNEAUT — Dina A. Gestwicki, age 93, of Conneaut, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 21, 2013, at Lake Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Dina was born on April 20, 1920, the daughter of Rocco and Mary (Minneli) Arcaro, in the Province of Campobasso, Saint Angelo En Grotto, Italy. She came to the United States with her mother at the age of 3. Dina later married her late husband, Clemence Gestwicki.

She was a devoted housewife and mother. She worked for several years at the former Eighmy Corporation in Conneaut, Astatic Corporation and Molded Fiberglass.

Dina loved to help out at church. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and attended St. Frances Cabrini. She was always selling tickets at the parish festivals, crocheting, working the Lenten Fish dinners and bingo. Dina also traveled to Nan Tucket, Cape Cod, New York City and back to Italy with church members and friends. She loved word puzzles, and to be sung to, reading poetry and purple was her favorite color. She was an Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clemence Gestwicki; and a brother, Fiory Arcaro.

Dina is survived by her sons, Ronald Gestwicki of Conneaut, Larry and Deidra Gestwicki of Cortland, Ohio, and Robert Gestwicki and Daniel Gestwicki, both of Conneaut; five grandchildren, Linda Petrunak, Kim Mines, Scott Gestwicki, Daniel Gestwicki Jr. and MaryAnn Gestwicki; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Matt, Jade, Gianna and James; two great-great-grandchildren, Ava and Paxton; and her favorite cat, “POKEY”.

Calling Hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23rd, at RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23rd, at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, with Fr. Philip Miller, of Corpus Christi Parish, presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut.
