JEFFERSON — Marjorie E. Farquhar, age 95, of W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio, died early Thursday morning, Oct. 17, 2013, at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.
She was born June 30, 1918, in Jefferson, the daughter of Martin and Myra (Hadlock) Linback. It is believed that she was the oldest living resident of Jefferson that was born here.
A Jefferson High School graduate, Marjorie worked as a licensed beautician for 65 years and many of her clients were lifelong customers.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and her loving pets. She enjoyed tending to her house plants and flowers, working jig saw puzzles, watching the Cleveland Indians, and playing her organ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Robert S. Farquhar in 1985; and she was the last of seven siblings.
She is survived by many loving and caring nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m., Noon, Monday, Oct. 21st, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with associate pastor of the Jefferson United Methodist Church, the Rev. Quincy Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 to 12 p.m. Monday, prior to the Funeral Service.
