ASHTABULA — Karelyn Hager, age 45, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.
Karelyn was born Sept. 14, 1968, in Parma, Ohio, the daughter of Absoloam B. Hager and Marilyn L. (Griffith) Hager-Fuge and had been an Ashtabula resident for the past 6 years.
A graduate of Mentor High School, she had worked as a home health aide and had obtained various medical certifications over the years.
She enjoyed making jewelry and was the director of the Lighthouse Baptist Church Clothing Bank. Karelyn dearly loved her family and her dog, “Gracie”.
Her survivors include her daughter, Aimee Thomas (husband, Bryan) Inman of Goldsboro, N.C.; one granddaughter, Aubrey Louise Inman; her mother and step-father, Marilyn Hager-Fuge and Richard “Pops” Fuge of Mercer, Pa.; two brothers, Adam B. (wife, Gwendolyn) Hager of Monaca, Pa., and Aaron S. (wife, Stephanie) Hager of Knob Noster, Mo.; one sister, Arberdella (husband, Paul) Mounts of Jefferson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, William C. Hager.
A GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS will be held at the DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, on Saturday, Sept. 28th, beginning at 11a.m. followed by a sharing of memories to begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, at a later date.
Contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church “Christ’s Closet” for children’s clothing.
