COLUMBUS — Clyde Calvert “Calvin” Boles, age 56, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at his home.
Born Sept. 6, 1957, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Clyde and Norene (Walker) Boles and had been a Columbus resident for the past 10+ years.
He attended Ashtabula High School and Wright State University and had been employed with Ashta Chemicals.
A Veteran of the U.S. Army, he served from 1976 to 1983 and received the Good Conduct Medal and several recognition’s for his marksmanship.
He enjoyed sports and dearly loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
His survivors include his sister, Clarice Wofford, his brother, Ernest Boles, his step-mother, Mary Williams, and his step-sister, Edna Laferty, all of Ashtabula; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Josh Boles, and his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21st, at the Hiawatha COGIC, 3417 Hiawatha Ave., Ashtabula. Supt. David Howard will officiate, with Steve Sargent delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
No calling hours will be observed.
