GENEVA — Tressia Hatcher, age 79, of Geneva, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at UH-Geneva Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1933, in Putney, W.Va., the daughter of Preston Q. and Daisy M. (Yokum) Stamper.
Tressia worked for 30 years at UH-Geneva Medical Center as a dietitian. She was a member of the Geneva Nazarene Church. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and dancing.
She is survived by her children, Diane Hatcher of Saybrook, William Hatcher of South Carolina and Ed Hatcher of Geneva; grandchildren, Rusty, Josh, Luke, Michael, Brandon, Molly, Joey, Ashley, Jennifer, Jeff and Eddie; and sister, Patty Stamper and brother, James Stamper, both of Charleston, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 2002; son, John Everette Hatcher, her parents; sisters, Susan Strickland and Sherri Howell; and a brother, Paul Stamper.
Calling Hours will be from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22nd, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, followed by the Funeral Service, with the Rev. Shirley Deemer officiating.
