CLEVELAND — It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Ruth Marsh on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.
Born Beatrice Ruth Miller on June 3, 1919, near Linesville, Pa., she was the daughter of Carl Miller and Della (Lester) Miller. Ruth grew up in the Linesville area and received her nursing degree from Spencer Hospital in Meadville, Pa. Ruth married George Edgar Marsh on August 23, 1941.
The couple moved to the Cleveland, Ohio, area in 1941 where Ruth worked as a nurse at Euclid General Hospital and Booth Memorial Hospital.
She was a long-time fan of the Cleveland Indians. She loved to sew and garden and was one of the founding members of Shore Haven Lutheran Church in Euclid, Ohio.
She was the beloved mother of Carl Thomas (Pat) Marsh, Jack Richard (Beverly) Marsh and Kathleen Van Epps. She has 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Earl; sister, Elma; son, Tom; daughter-in-law, Bev; and two grandsons, David and Joe.
There will be a Memorial Service in Ruth’s honor at Shore Haven Lutheran Church on Saturday, Feb. 8th, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Juengel presiding.
