WINSOR TOWNSHIP — David J. Disien, age 72, of Windsor Township, Ohio, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.
Born Dec. 2, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of Arthur and Clara (Balogh) Disien. David was a graduate of Grand Valley High School in Orwell and married the former Dolly Buber in 1962. He has lived in Windsor for the past 45 years.
A Veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1961. David worked at Crestmont Cadillac as a collision technician for 10 years.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orwell. David enjoyed classic cars, fishing and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He coached pee wee football and little league, and loved being with his family. He was a very outdoorsy person and loved being with his dog “Maxie”.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly; his children, Kathy Disien of Chardon, Steven (Heather) of Delmont, Pa., and Brian (Jennifer) of Windsor; his two wonderful grandsons, Zachary and Kyle; and his sister, Irma Jordan of West Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Norbert; and a sister, Helen Super.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m., Wed., Sept. 18th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 103 N. Maple St., Orwell, Ohio. A gathering prior to Mass will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the Church.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17th, at the RUSSELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 15670 W. High St., (Rt. 87), Middlefield, Ohio.
