YOUNGSTOWN — Duane P. Miller, age 57, was welcomed to the gates of Heaven on August 24th at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio after losing the fight with complications of pneumonia.
He was born Sept. 19, 1955, in Ashtabula, to James and Annie (Miller) Parker.
Duane was a resident at Youngstown Developmental Center for over 30 years. While there he enjoyed workshops, activities and social gatherings. Although unable to speak, he knew when family members were present which brought happiness and joy to him and family members. Duane will be sadly missed by his “family” at YDC.
Duane was the oldest child and will always be loved and cherished by his loving brothers, sisters and other family relatives. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
Surviving him are his brothers and sisters, Patty Parker of Ashtabula, Deborah Parker of Columbus, Keith Parker of Columbus, Jimmy Lee Parker of Ashtabula, Jacqueline (Byron) Parker of Ashtabula and Edward Parker of Ashtabula; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Titus and Agnes Miller; paternal grandparents, Ted and Lena Parker; and a niece, Tamara Parker.
The family would like to thank St. Elizabeth Hospital of Youngstown, Ohio. Hats off to the doctors and nurses for their dedication and care that was provided to our brother during this difficult time.
At the family’s request, there will be no services.
