CONNEAUT — E. Louise Rickard-Terry, age 92, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, Jan. 3, 2014, at The Villa at the Lake in Conneaut.
Born July 9, 1921, in Cherry Hill, Pa., she was the daughter of Ray and Effie (Harrington) White.
Louise graduated from West Springfield High School in Pennsylvania and attended beauty school, becoming owner and operator of her own salon in Albion, Pa., retiring in 1983. She also enjoyed selling Stanley products, and had worked for Peltons Department Store.
She was a member of the New Leaf United Methodist Church; formerly taught Sunday School at Amboy United Methodist Church; was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Orion Chapter #12; and was affiliated with the Daughters of the American Colonist. She enjoyed reading, traveling and crocheting.
Survivors include her son, Marshall (Beverly) Rickard of Conneaut; her daughter, Cheryl Donaldson of Conneaut; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Dan) Wilson, Jason (Kate) Rickard and Joy Sewensky; 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, Roger (Barbara) White of Columbus; and her brother-in-law, Ernie Rickard of Westlake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, David A. Rickard, whom she celebrated 54 years of marriage; her second husband, Frank Terry; and her brother, Maurice White.
Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 11th, at New Leaf United Methodist Church, 283 Buffalo St., Conneaut, with Pastor Mary Prior officiating. Eastern Star Orion Chapter #12 will also be conducting services. Burial will be in East Conneaut Cemetery.
No calling hours will be observed.
Contributions may be made to New Leaf United Methodist Church building fund. Envelopes will be available at the Church and also at THE MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has charge of arrangements.
