ASHTABULA — Cecil Arnold Riddle Jr., age 49, of Ashtabula, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, surrounded by his family at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Dec. 7, 1964, in Ashtabula, the son of the late Cecil A. and Ruth Ann (Coffman) Riddle Sr. and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Edgewood Senior High School class of 1984. The day before he passed, he celebrated a great birthday with family and friends.

Cecil enjoyed many hobbies, but most of all he enjoyed playing his guitar. He was a talented guitarist and vocalist playing in many bands over the years including the “Easy Picken Band”, “Shotgun”, “Raizen Cain”, “Cheyenne”, “Silver Creek”, “Riddle and the Ramblers” and “Gone Country”. His band members were an extension of his family and the band of brothers will always play on.

He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a quick comeback. He had a special bond with each one of his sons. He loved to be in the woods, camping with his boys, playing air soft and enjoying the wildlife. He had a way with animals.

Always a gamer, he especially enjoyed Black Ops, Saints Row, Red Dead and Gears of War.

He is survived by his loving fiancé, Delylla Barnes of Ashtabula; sons, Dakota Riddle, Dillon (Tiffany Johnson) Riddle and Dalton Riddle; grandson, Derek James Riddle; his brothers, Troy Riddle and Nelson “Eddie” Riddle; his ex-wife and mother of his children, Tina (Smith) Riddle; and nieces and nephew.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Tisha Riddle.
