WESTLAKE — Jacob A. "Jake" Armeni, age 34, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at his residence in Westlake, Ohio.

Born Jan. 29, 1979, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Jack Armeni of North Kingsville and his mother Sandy (Staley) Armeni of Conneaut.

He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1997 and worked for Ohio Awning in Cleveland, Ohio. Jake broke the state record in track when he was in middle school at Braden Junior High.

He enjoyed taking his son to Township Park and Splash Lagoon.

Survivors include his parents; his son, Trevor Armeni of Conneaut; his sister, Julie (Derek) Stern of North Kingsville; his half-sisters, Christy Davis of Painesville, and Dena (Patrick) Towlen and Lisa Disler, all of New Jersey; his grandmother, Betty Staley of Conneaut; and his step-grandmother, Shirley Staley of Ashtabula.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Howard Staley; and his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Margaret Armeni.

Committal Service with entombment will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 22nd, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Father Raymond Thomas, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.

No calling hours will be observed.

Contributions may be made to his family for his son Trevor. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and also at THE MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has charge of arrangements.
