AUSTINBURG — Services for Edward J. Sulecki, age 76, of Austinburg, will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3rd, at DAVIS-BABCOCK FUNERAL HOME, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. The Rev. Louis A. Pizmoht will officiate at the Service.
Mr. Sulecki passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 31, 1937, in Cleveland, he was a longtime Eastlake resident before moving to Austinburg 22 years ago.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and visiting local casinos. He loved spending time with his family, including his dog, Rocky; playing poker and will be remembered for his joke telling. He also served in the United States Air Force for five years, honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant.
Mr. Sulecki was a co-founder and co-owner of Sulecki Precision Products in Mentor, which was founded in 1988.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Alvina (Terry) Sulecki; daughter, Deborah (Cliff) Smith of Mentor; sons, Edward (Donna) Sulecki of Harpersfield, Dan (June) Sulecki of Austinburg, Jim (Karen) Sulecki of Harpersfield and John (Vicki) Sulecki of Eastlake; grandchildren, Eddie, Shawnna (Matt), Jimmy, Danielle, Vanessa, Jason, Danny, Jessica, Lauren, Tiffany, Brett and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Landon and Baylee; brother, David (Joyce) Sulecki; and sisters, Ida Ashton and Joyce Sulecki (Ellis). He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
His parents, Edward and Eileen (Collins) Sulecki; and brother, Bill Sulecki are deceased.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2nd, at the Funeral Home. Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township, following the Services on Friday.
