ASHTABULA — Ann H. Palumbo, age 88, of W. 44th St., Ashtabula, Ohio, was called home to the Lord on Saturday evening, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, Ashtabula.
Mrs. Palumbo was born August 15, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Helen (Dew) Stanick and has been a long time resident of the Ashtabula area.
Ann was employed for many years as a housekeeper for St. Joseph Church, the rectory and also for the convent where the nuns resided.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church and the VFW women’s auxiliary of Ashtabula. In her part time, she enjoyed playing BINGO and visiting with her many friends at the E-Comm Café on Main Ave. in Ashtabula.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Palumbo, having two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, of Renton, Wash., and Ralph Palumbo of Euclid, Ohio; and one daughter, Mary Ann Palumbo of Ashtabula. Ann has a long list of extended friends especially John and Melissa Ginnard, Jerry and Ellie Brummitt, all of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph A. Palumbo in 1967.
Calling Hours will be held at CHILDS & WILLIAM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1440 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, from 6 to 8 p.m., TODAY, Tuesday, Nov. 3rd.
Final Prayer Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4th, at CHILDS & WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
