Carol Klaus Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 Star Beacon MONTVILLE — Carol ( née Gawlikowski) Klaus, 65, of Montville, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at her residence.
Carol was born Nov. 5, 1942 and had lived in Montville since 1976. She married Frank Klaus on July 27, 1963 at Thompson Methodist Church. Mrs. Klaus was a Cashier and retired from Save-a-lot food stores. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, playing poker and collecting dolls. Survivors include her husband, Frank Klaus of Montville; daughters, Denise (Mike) Steen of Windsor, Ohio and Tammy (Andy) Susman of Windsor, Ohio; son, Frank S. Klaus of Macedonia, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Rose (Richard) Whitely of Geneva, Ohio and Shirley Ondercin of Montville, Ohio; brothers, David (Shirley) Gawlikowski of Montville, Ohio and Cy Gawlikowski of Ashtabula, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Betty Jane (Kuntz) Gawlikowski; Hugo and Mary Klug; and daughter, Betty Jane Klaus. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8th, at the BURR FUNERAL HOME, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon, Ohio. Bob Shantaz of Huntsburg Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Montville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.
