Born in Baxter, Ky., May 5, 1932, he was the son of Henry and Bula (Yett) Ross. A Veteran, John served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mechanic at Elken Metals for over 35 years prior to retirement. Mr. Ross loved to take long walks along Lake Erie and especially loved the outdoors. He is survived by his son, Anthony Ross of Fayetteville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Tonia and Mikal; and two brothers, Charles Ross of Ashtabula and Dan Ross of Detroit, Mich. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Orville and Donald; sisters Bertha, Margaret, Christine, and Doris, and his parents. A Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 30th, at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3140 East Center St. (SR 20), N. Kingsville. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m., with full military honors. Elder German Womack of People Baptist Church will officiate. Contributions may be made to the Peoples Baptist Church, 3837 West Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
