SAYBROOK — Lincoln L. Landon, age 87, of Saybrook Township, passed away at his residence early Monday morning, August 4, 2008.
Born on Feb. 12, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Louis and Velma (Baker) Landon and has been an area resident the past 36 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during W.W.II. Lincoln married Marian (Walton) on Oct. 18, 1941.
Lincoln had worked as a mechanic and also as the farm manager for the old Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville for 20 years.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Madison.
Linc was a devoted husband and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the children. He enjoyed watching boxing and the Cleveland Indians, and being in the outdoors enjoying nature. He was also known as being a great handyman fixing anything needed.
Survivors include his wife, Marian; daughters, Shawna Biegacki of Jefferson and Megan Ann Landon of Ashtabula; sons, Scott Landon of Saybrook Township and Daniel Lincoln Landon of Tennessee; brother, Jack Reed Landon of Ashtabula; sisters, Lavannia McGann of Ashtabula and Ruth March of Winterhaven, Fla.; grandchildren, Louis, Kayden, Todd, Ramen and Amy; great-grandchildren, River and Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul; and sisters, Audrey Shadduck and Betty Pickett.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date to be announced.
POTTI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula is handling arrangements.
