Margaret Hockran Sunday, July 20, 2008 Star Beacon LINESVILLE — Margaret Hockran, age 85, of Linesville, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008, at Westbury Grace Health Center in Meadville.
Born July 17, 1923, in Beaverdale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anastasia Chimic Hohrun. After sixteen years as a secretary for the Portland Cement Association in Cleveland, she retired in 1985. Later in life, her greatest joy was being a published poet. Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover, Ohio and was involved in the Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Peter, Michael, Frank, Paul, and John; and three sisters, Anne Weissenburger, Sue Sutter, and Helen Vargo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, Ohio, with Fr. Raymond Sutter, a nephew, of St. Matthias Church in Parma, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Andover. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at ROYAL-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville, Ohio. The family suggests memorials be made to the National Center for Padre Pio, Inc., 2213 Old Rt. 100, Barto, Pa. 19504.
