THOMPSON — Eleanore R. Jirousek, age 74, a resident of Thompson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at home.
Born on March 11, 1935, in Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Dolores (Mitchell) and Edward Joseph Albl. On Oct. 7, 1961, she married Joseph Jirousek in St. Joseph’s Church, Cleveland.
A homemaker, she helped her husband with the NERC Pigeon Racing Club.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their sporting events and enjoyed spending time fishing with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Jirousek of Thompson; two daughters, Barbara Lynn (Dwain) Raikes of Thompson and Judy Davidson of Euclid; two sons, Joe (Jill) Jirousek of Thompson and John (Debbie Hess) Jirousek of Hiram, Ohio; three grandchildren, Justine Jirousek, Jannelle Jirousek and Stephanie Jirousek; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Marissa Reed; and a sister, Gloria (John) Kiriakides of Greenville, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 27th, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson, Ohio, with the Rev. Paul Smith as celebrant. Final resting place will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Thompson.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.
