Falkenburg, age 54, of St. Rt. 307 W., Jefferson, Ohio, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in the Hospice Unit at the Ashta bula County Medical Center. Neal J. Falkenburg, age 54, of St. Rt. 307 W., Jefferson, Ohio, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in the Hospice Unit at the Ashta bula County Medical Center.
Born Oct. 5, 1953, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Neal and Nettie E. (Smith) Falkenburg, Sr. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cleveland State University. He was a substitute teacher with all the school districts in Ashtabula County. He was a member of the Jefferson United Method ist Church. He was a sports fan and a season ticket holder to both the Cavs and Indians. He enjoyed music, both the blues and rock, and was a patron member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed going to Disney World and in his younger years, worked at Epcot. Surviving him are his daughter, Hannah Falken burg of Jefferson; a sister, Naomi Tokar of Dublin, Ohio; two nieces, Jodi Bish op of Jefferson and Sarah Lang of Columbus; and a nephew, Jarod Larson of Jefferson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Nola Jean Larson. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 W. Jef ferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Meredith Coleman, of the Jeffer son United Methodist Church, officiating. Calling Hours will be Thursday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fu neral Home.
