Hedrick Saturday, May 10, 2008 Star Beacon PAINESVILLE — Raymond W. Hedrick, age 80, of Painesville, Ohio, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1927, in Richmond, Ohio, and was a former resident of Madison and Jefferson, Ohio. Raymond was a retired carpenter, having worked in construction and at Tartan Marine, in Grand River, Ohio. His hobbies were gardening, woodworking, farming, steam engines, and raising and training horses. Survivors include his son, Rodney (Margaret) Hedrick of Painesville; daughter, Donna Alvord of Sandusky, Mich.; step-daughter, Judi Barrett of Tulsa, Okla.; step-sons, George Bauer of Tulsa, and Robert Bauer of Fairport Harbor; grandson, Rodney W. Hedrick Jr.; step-grandchildren, Margaret Knotts, Lisa, David, Robert, and George Bauer; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Zelma, in 1957; second wife, Alyce, in 1992; and his parents, Walter and Rose Ella (Flack) Hedrick. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2008, at the POTTI FUNERAL HOME, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville, Ohio. Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., Tomorrow, May 11, at the Funeral Home.
