CHARDON — Ronald Dean Winters, age 46, known to everyone as “Dean”, died Tuesday morning, May 6, 2008, at home.
Born April 18, 1962, in Ashtabula, he was the son to Ronald E. and Betty L. (Jude) Winters, and a graduate from Ashtabula High School in 1981.
He moved to Hesperia, Calif., in 1991, where he was employed with the local Tree Service Company of Hesperia, and was also employed part-time with C.A. Stevens Inc., at the Cajon Pass. In 1998, Dean settled back to his hometown, Ashtabula, where he has been employed at Ideal Used Cars, N. Ridge East, Ashtabula.
Dean enjoyed working on cars and had a love for Harley Davidson. His loyal side kick named “Dog”, went everywhere with him.
Survivors include his parents, Ronald E. Winters of Ashtabula and Betty L. (Jude) Winters of Chardon; two sisters, Linda K. Dinger of Ashtabula and Debora (Scott) Robinson of Eastlake; three brothers, Timothy A. Winters of Chardon, Robert J. (Leanne “Shelly” Brooks) Winters of Ashtabula, and Noah S. Winters of Chardon; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ronda Jean Winters; and grandparents, John and Mattie Jude, Helen L. Platz, and George Winters.
A service will be 8 p.m., Friday, May 9, at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. Michael Legg, Pastor of Ashtabula First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsville Cemetery at a later date.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 9, at the Funeral Home.
