GENEVA — Elizabeth “Sue” Puffenbarger, age 85, of Geneva, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her home.
Born Jan. 1, 1923, in Kanawha County, W. Va., she was the daughter of Jonathan and Goldy (Colly) Armes, and has been a Geneva resident for 30 years. She married James W. Puffenbarger, Sr., Dec. 5, 1942, in Whittaker, W. Va.
Sue was a homemaker and a waitress at Punderson State Park, and loved crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, James; son, James Jr. (Sherrin) of Geneva; daughter-in-law, Cindy Puffenbarger; grandchildren, Jason and Jeffery, Dean and Dale; and great-grandchildren, Leah, Anna and Kayleigh.
She was preceded in death by a son, Billy in 2002; her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2008, at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio, with the Rev. Harry Pishcura, of New Life Assembly of God, in Geneva, Ohio, officiating. Burial will be in Harpersfield Cemetery, Route 307, Harpersfield, Ohio.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at the Funeral Home.
