BRADENTON, Fla. — Elsie (Lave) Russell, age 91, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
Born June 6, 1916, she moved to Bradenton in 1982 from Burton, Ohio.
Elsie was a graduate of Kent State University, Ohio, with a teaching degree. She and her husband, Marvin operated Geauga Truck and Imp. Co. in Burton for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Edward Lave; and husband, Marvin Russell in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Russell (wife, Laura Avery) of Bradenton; a daughter, Linda (Walter) Mieczkowski of Clayton, Calif.; grandchildren, Craig (Cindy) Mieczkowski of Madison, Wis., Chris (Monty) Santa Maria of Concord, Calif., Curt Mieczkowski of Clayton, Calif., and Carl (Na Pi) Mieczkowski of Pacifica, Calif.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, with service following at 2 p.m. at GRIFFITH-CLINE FUNERAL HOME in Bradenton. The Rev. Paul Scheele will officiate.
