CONNEAUT — Charlotte Bowers, age 90, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Saturday morning, May 3,2008, at UH Conneaut Medical Center.
Born January 18, 1918, in Albion, Pa., she was the daughter of Jesse and Carrie (Eaton) Kinney.
A Conneaut resident since 1939, she had been employed as a toy maker at G. C. Woods in Girard, Pa., retiring in 1965.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and watching an occasional television program.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Donald Bowers, whom she married April 22, 1939; two daughters, Mary Jane Lott and Laura Johnston, both of Conneaut; a son, Clarence (Shirley) Bowers of Conneaut; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald L. Bowers, Sr. on April 2, 2008; a brother, Homer Kinney; three sisters, Pearl Callahan, Lena Chase, and Dorothy Moyer; three grandchildren, Sara Ryan, Billy Johnston, and Miles Bowers; and a great-grandson, Justin Lott.
Graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in East Conneaut Cemetery.
Friends may call 10 a.m., to 12 noon, Tuesday, May 6, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio.
