— ASHTABULA — Twyla I. Reed, age 89, of State Road, died Wednesday evening, April 30, 2008, at the Ashtabula Country Club Retirement Center.
Born Dec. 20, 1918, in Cherry Valley, she was the daughter of Glenn and Juanda (Runyan) Crosby. She married Walter J. Reed on July 31, 1935, at the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She has been a resident of Ashtabula County all of her life.
Twyla enjoyed being a homemaker, her cat “Fluffy”, and helping friends. She and Walter enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. They built and owned the Edgewood Plaza for 30 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin R. Aigner of Margate, Fla.; two granddaughters, Nicole O’ Neill of Coral Springs, Fla., and Ashley Aigner of Margate, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa O’Neill; and longtime friends, Russell and Pat Litton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1992; and her brother, Donald Crosby.
Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2008, at the Ashtabula home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. John Germaine officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m., until the time of Service.
