— CONNEAUT — Larry J. Eaton, age 61, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Tuesday morning, April 29, 2008, at St. Joseph Health Center in Andover, Ohio.
Born February 3, 1947, in Conneaut, he was the son of Garold H. and Dorothy L. (Porter) Eaton.
A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Larry served during the Vietnam War.
He had previously attended East Conneaut Baptist Chapel, and enjoyed socializing and having coffee at Perkins.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Metzger) whom he married September 29, 1999; a daughter, Margaret (Kevin) Green of Debary, Fla.; three sons, Jammie (Alicia) Eaton of Conneaut; Robert (Christen) Eaton of Conneaut, and Michael Eaton of Debary, Fla.; a step-daughter, Darlene McDonald of New York; a step-son, Richard Pleat of Cleveland, Ohio; his sister, Bonnie (Donald) Overway of Ashtabula; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy as a child; and a step-daughter, Judy Bowers.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2008, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, with his brother-in-law, Donald Overway of Lighthouse Baptist Church, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., at the Funeral Home, Sunday, May 4.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
