ASHTABULA — Romaine Mannier, age 84, of Ashtabula, Ohio, peacefully slid into the arms of our Lord, and rejoined her husband, James Mortei of 51 years, Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born September 29, 1923, in Jessie, W. Va., she was a daughter to Alf and Margia Lamb.
She was the owner of Mannier Company Inc., and attended Amboy United Methodist Church, in Conneaut, Ohio.
Romaine enjoyed gardening with flowers and fruit trees, spending time with her son, and working at the company, she and her husband built.
Romaine is survived by her son, James Stephen of Ashtabula; brothers, Alf of Texas, Neil of W. Va., and Marvin of Virginia; sisters, Mildred, Clarice, Cathryn, Margia, and Wilda.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Mortei; and brother, James.
Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Saturday, May 3, 2008, in the Potti Chapel, BURTON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, with Pastor Tami Toothman, of Amboy United Methodist Church of Conneaut, officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the Funeral Service, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, May 3.
